More than 100 volunteers enjoyed a cool treat on a hot summer day, thanks to the Arlington Police Department Community Support Bureau.

Citizens Police Academy Alumni Members, Citizens on Patrol and volunteers from many parts of the agency attended the APD Ice Cream Social on Aug. 3 inside the Community Room at the West Police Service Center.

Acting Chief Will Johnson told volunteers, "Thank you for all you do to help keep our communities safer."
