Are you ready to see pictures of the new Metro ArlingtonXpress commuter service scheduled to launch on August 19? The first of three buses has finally been wrapped and is ready for viewing.

The colorful MAX branding is easily identifiable and should have a lasting effect on Arlington residents, students and other commuters.

MAX will link downtown Arlington and University of Texas at Arlington to CentrePort Station/DFW Airport Station, where riders can catch the TRE to Fort Worth or Dallas. Once in Fort Worth, riders can catch any T bus. Over in Dallas, riders can catch DART buses or light rail.

Riders can purchase a Local Day Pass for $5. If you have a TRE pass, you can ride MAX for free. You can also buy a $5 pass on the MAX bus that is good for the TRE. Weekly and monthly passes are also available through The T or DART. Students, seniors and people with disabilities ride for half price.

This new venture is a partnership between the City of Arlington, the T, TRE, DART, Arlington Chamber of Commerce and University of Texas at Arlington.

Be sure to visit ridethemax.com for more information about tickets, schedules and maps. MAX updates are available via Facebook at RideTheMax and on Twitter at @ArlingtonMAX.
