Are you ready to cool off? The Aquatics Division of the Arlington Parks and Recreation department is geared up for another Naturally Fun swim season on June 2, when all six outdoor pools open for the summer. Both Bad Königshofen and Randol Mill Family Aquatic Centers kicked off the season by accommodating more than 5,600 customers during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. That equates to a 16 percent increase in visitation based on the same weekend in 2011.
Aquatics Manager, Maria Campbell, and Aquatics Program Coordinator, Olivia Bradley, reported that business was at a constant flow all weekend, and customers appeared to enjoy themselves with temperatures above 90 degrees all three days.
Water enthusiasts are sure to find the right mix of fun in the sun this year at one of 6 outdoor pool locations including:
Allen Bolden Pool (50 meter) 2800 A South Center Street 817-472-8950
Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center 2800 W Sublett Road 817-459-5223
