If you like championship boxing, Standing 8 Promotions is bringing its fight series back to Arlington.

Hector "El Diamante" Vazquez (9-1) of Irving, TX and Larry "Slo Mo" Smith of Dallas, TX will battle it out for the Texas State Super Welterweight title at Bud Light Pro Fight Series Fight #4 on August 24. This important title fight will be the main event of the seven bouts of Bud Light Pro Fight Series Fight #4, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. at COWBOYS Dancehall in Arlington, TX. Vazquez and Smith will give their all for this important title, creating a thrill for the over 2,000 expected fans at this huge Texas night club.

Vazquez a 2008 team Mexico Olympian boxer also holds multiple national amateur titles, and an awesome record that includes a victory over 3-time world champion Adrien Broner. Vazquez, who has also sparred with several ranked champions and top contenders including Amir Kahn, is excited to be back to fight on the Standing 8 Promotions card for his first professional title after his short layoff due to injury. A committed family man, Vazquez holds the admiration and respect of the community of Irving, TX, who will be in full force to cheer him on.

With over 25 professional fights under his belt, veteran fighter Larry Smith has travelled the globe giving fighters all they could handle in both amateur and professional boxing rings. Smith was a highly applauded state amateur and Golden Globe boxer before turning pro. With multiple amateur titles and the proficiency of a veteran fighter, Smith is known for electrifying fights as well as exciting entrances often accompanied by local recording artists.

"You can expect a very exciting title fight between a rising local prospect and an established veteran. It is fights like these that tell us how far a prospect can go. Fights like these often result in upsets. "Having known both these fighters for a while, I expect an incredible fight since both fighters will be intent on leaving the ring with a win," said Dustin Haney, owner of Standing 8 Promotions.

The main event should be the icing on the cake to a night of excitement. Other highlights to watch for at the 7-bout event will be the spot-on performance of rising local superstar professional, Tony Lopez of Fort Worth Texas, who comes into the Bud Light Pro Fight with a 5-0 professional record and standout amateur career. A media favorite, Lopez enters the ring after his applauded victory on the Standing 8 card and heralded knockout in June as an HBO undercard at American Airlines Arena in Dallas both in June of this year.

Also watch for a thrilling performance from Mike Tufariello, who is inspiring many as Texas' own Rocky Balboa type hero. Making the news with his pro debut at 38 years-old with a first round knockout as a super middleweight at Bud Light Pro Fight #3, Mike "Italian Stallion" Tufariello is fulfilling a childhood dream and bringing fans to their feet with tears of joy. After an outstanding amateur record, Tufariello gave up for several years to support his family, but he's back with the spirit of Rocky Balboa and the vengeance of John McClane.
