The Arlington Independent School District will kick off its Summer Food Service Program next week to provide meals to children from low-income families living in the city.
Beginning Monday, June 9, meals will be provided to all children, ages 1 through 18, without charge at various schools. Meals are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided weekdays starting June 10 through July 2 at various elementaries. Junior high sites will serve meals June 9 through June 25.
High school sites will serve meals June 17 through August 6. Sites serving meals in July will not provide service on Friday, July 4. No registration of any kind is needed for children to receive the free meals. For more information, call 682-867-7880.
