The City of Arlington Bureau of Vital Records is moving to City Hall. The office will open Monday, October 8 at 8:00 a.m. in Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street.

The office, which is responsible for ensuring that every birth and death occurring within city limits is properly registered and submitted to the State of Texas Bureau of Vital Records, has birth records for all Texas births from 1903. Death records from April 1971 are also available. The new office, which features remodeled counters to ensure ADA-compliance, is located on the first floor next to the Maps Room.

Office hours are Monday -Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Financial transactions are not accepted after 4:30 p.m. The office will remain open from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (except holidays) to answer questions and accept non-financial transactions.

Residents can also go online to check the fee schedule or apply for a birth or death certificate by visiting the Arlington Bureau of Vital Records website.

This move is a joint venture between the Financial Management & Resources and the Water Utilities.
