The scheduled Maverick Speakers Series appearance of NBC sportscaster Bob Costas on Thursday, Sept. 25, at The University of Texas at Arlington has been postponed.
Costas notified the University that his network has assigned him to call legendary shortstop Derek Jeter's final home game in Yankee Stadium. His UT Arlington appearance will be rescheduled and announced at a later date.
All ticket holders will be contacted by email. Preferred package holders will be given a full, automated refund. Once a new date is set for the event, current general admission ticket and preferred package holders will be contacted by email.

The Maverick Speakers Series will open Oct. 20 with a Texas Hall event featuring husband-and-wife-political-commentators James Carville and Mary Matalin. Tickets will be available beginning Sept. 22 at www.utatickets.com.
