Hello! I'm "Sandy", the chosen Dog of the Week for Arlington Animal Services. I'm a lovely beige Blue Heeler Mix with soft, medium long hair. A good girl on the leash, volunteers believe I would be dog friendly because I get so excited to see the other dogs when I'm outside. I love to play fetch with soft squeaky toys and take walks. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with people outside, just enjoying the fresh air and smelling all the new things I can possibly take in. Is your family looking for a great medium-sized dog who is well behaved and knows how to sit? If so, I'm your girl! I'm also quite expressive and like to "talk", but not how most humans think dogs talk. I'm not a barker; I like to make little sounds, just to try to tell you what I'm thinking when I want something.
