In a continued effort to improve the City of Arlington's infrastructure, construction is now finished on a project to widen Bowman Springs Road to a 5-lane concrete street that connects to the City of Kennedale and TxDOT projects.
Also included in the project were street lights, retaining walls, and sidewalks. The design of the project began in March 2009.
According to the project engineer, construction started back in September 2013 and the project was completed in October 2014.
This project, which is part of the 2008 bond, is one of 16 major public works and water utility upgrade projects totaling as much as $80 million scheduled to roll out over a two-year period.
