Continuing its increased focus on making government transparent to citizens, the City of Arlington has released the 2013 Popular Annual Financial Report, also known as the PAFR.
The PAFR is a citizen friendly financial report that uses narrative and art to explain the information found in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, or CAFR, to people without a finance background. Both are published at the same time each year.
From simple PDF to digital experience, the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) is now available as an interactive e-publication! The City's latest edition of the PAFR has been digitally enriched to include elements such as informative videos, sound, web links and interactive page flipping and zooming.
"Citizens can see what the City has accomplished for the year with their tax dollars [by looking at the PAFR]," said Assistant Director of Finance Sherry Wright. "At a glance, they can see that the City is healthy, and that the economic policies are working."
The PAFR is an optional document that is becoming more popular among governments because of its usefulness in communicating a city's progress to its citizens.
