Dreams came true Wednesday when Texas Christian University (TCU) representatives surprised six Sam Houston High School students with four-year scholarships worth $250,000 through the TCU Community Scholars program. Each scholarship will cover four years of undergraduate studies.

The six seniors receiving a combined $1.5 million in scholarship money to TCU sets a new school record for the number of TCU Community Scholars scholarship recipients in one year at Sam Houston. Five students received the scholarship last year.
