The new sustainable concessions and restroom building at Randol Mill Park opened its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 6. The grand opening ceremony was be hosted by Arlington Mayor Pro Tempore Kathryn Wilemon; Arlington Council Member Charlie Parker; Chevrolet Regional Marketing Manager Steve Flynn; and EcoMedia Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development Dan Rodrigues.
Special guests included players and coaches from the Miracle League, which was celebrating its opening day, as well as Miracle League fans and family members. Visitors will enjoy the new solar powered building, which was made possible through Chevrolet's participation in CBS EcoMedia's EcoAd advertising program. This unique partnership between the City of Arlington, Chevrolet and EcoMedia began in 2011 with the first phase of the project, which funded the sustainable landscape design and installation for the Barrier-Free Playground at Randol Mill.
