Here are this week's top stories:

• Male students participate in the "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event to help raise awareness about violence against women by walking a mile around the UT Arlington campus in high-heeled shoes.
• A behind-the-scenes look at how Coach Scott Cross and the UT Arlington men's basketball team is preparing for the 2016-17 season.
• Tail Waggin' Wednesday is held at the Central Library to lift up the spirits of students missing their pets back home.
