Revolutionary Holiday Experience Opens to Public on Nov. 11
The Parks at Arlington Wednesday announced it will host Adventure to Santa, a DreamWorks DreamPlace Santa adventure that embodies DreamWorks' distinctive blend of world-class technology and storytelling for a next generation holiday experience. DreamWorks Animation, the global family entertainment brand known for award-winning storytelling and industry leading innovation, chose the Parks at Arlington as one of just eight locations around the country during the 2014 holiday season to feature this experience.
"We are always looking for unique opportunities to engage our guests. Adventure to Santa seamlessly showcases the Parks at Arlington's commitment to provide an unparalleled experience with DreamWorks' unmatched storytelling and technology," said Lorie Lisius, the Parks at Arlington. "It's without a doubt a must-visit destination this holiday season."
This first-of-its kind, interactive, holiday adventure opens at the Parks at Arlington on Nov. 11. The magical journey starts with Shrek, ends with Santa, and features a 2,000-square-foot immersive experience to be enjoyed by family members of all ages. The attraction is free to guests and features an online reservation system that eliminates the need to wait in line before embarking on this unforgettable adventure. "DreamPlace turns the traditional mall holiday visit on its head with an immersive, interactive approach that draws on our signature brand of technology, storytelling and of course, humor," said DreamWorks Animation's Chief Global Brand Officer Michael Francis. "We are continually looking for new ways to bring our characters to life and DreamPlace will deliver an unparalleled experience which fans will absolutely love."
To celebrate the arrival of Adventure to Santa, the Parks at Arlington will host a private, first-look preview on the evening of Nov. 10, welcoming invited military members and their families on the eve of Veteran's Day. The event will be kicked off with a parade led by Santa and Puss in Boots. Following the parade, activities will feature a children's musical theatre group performing Christmas carols and music from Shrek, as well as balloon artists, face painting, arts and crafts and plenty of sweet treats.
Santa's new home is also being securely protected by ADT, a sponsor of the Parks at Arlington's Adventure to Santa experience and leading provider of home security and automation solutions. In today's connected world, even Santa can use a hand, so ADT has outfitted his North Pole abode with the latest ADT Pulse smart home technology to ensure Mrs. Claus and the elves are safe and sound throughout the holiday season and beyond.
