The Arlington Municipal Court announces that March 2018 is Warrant Resolution Month. Anyone who has outstanding citations with the Arlington Municipal Court is encouraged to resolve their cases.
From now until March 29, 2018, the City of Arlington Municipal Court offers the following incentives:
- Persons who voluntarily appear and take action on their cases may be eligible for alternatives, such as low-cost payment plans, community service, or a reduction in their total fine amount. Collection fees will also be waived between now and March 30.
- As is the custom in the Arlington Municipal Court and pursuant to Texas law (since Sept. 2017), if you appear voluntarily at the Arlington Municipal Court and resolve - or make a good faith effort to resolve - your outstanding citations, you will not be arrested on any City of Arlington outstanding Class C warrants.
- As an incentive to resolving outstanding charges, the Arlington Municipal Court will waive the collection agency fees on warrants paid in full, if accompanied by the official warrant notice or letter.
- If your case is un-adjudicated, you have the right to plead not guilty and request a trial by judge or jury. On a plea of not guilty, a bond may be required to clear a warrant and proceed to trial.
- If you owe a fine and costs and do not have sufficient resources to immediately pay all or part of the fine and costs, you may have an extension to pay, start a payment plan, or request community service to discharge all or part of your fine and costs.
Arlington Municipal Court is located inside City Tower at 101 S. Mesquite St, at the northeast corner of Abram and Mesquite streets. Click here for a map and driving directions.
The court is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding City holidays. Arlington Municipal Court will be closed on Friday, March 30 in observance of Good Friday.
