This annual event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 28th. The goal is to improve the appearance of Lake Arlington and increase public awareness about how litter can affect water quality.
Individuals, civic clubs, organizations, and student groups are being encouraged to register and volunteer.
Last year 's event attracted more than 200 volunteers who collected 8.8 tons of litter.
Free lunch will be provided to all volunteers. All volunteer participants are reminded to wear long pants and sleeves, sturdy shoes or boots, and hats. No shorts or sandals will be allowed. Gloves, insect repellant, and trash bags will be provided by the City of Arlington.
Please note: Volunteers must be at least seven years old to participate.
