Wags and Flags at Six Flags Over Texas

Arlington Animal Services invites all area dog owners to bring their four-legged friends to Six Flags Over Texas on Sunday, May 31. The event runs from 8-9:30 a.m. rain or shine and features a themed walk that allows your dog to become a super hero for a day. Bring one dry dog food donation (5 lb. minimum) and receive one half-off admission to the park valid until August 16, 2015. Costumes are encouraged for your pets and they will be given the chance to have a photo taken in front of a Justice League backdrop. The new ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, is now open to the public. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Arlington Public Library's Summer Reading Club Kick-Off

Summer Reading Club 2015 begins with a Kick-Off party that everyone's invited to attend at AISD Professional Development Center! There will be fun and free activities for the whole family to enjoy. This year's theme is Heroes, so don't be afraid to put on a cape and come dressed as your favorite superhero! Don't forget to pick up reading logs for everyone in your family before the party's over. The event runs from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. AISD Professional Development Center is located at 1111 W. Arbrook Blvd. Remember, enrollment in Arlington Public Library's Summer Reading Club is also available through the website: MySRC.org.

Arlington Music Hall Presents Donny Edwards & Fever (The Ultimate Elvis Experience)

Back by popular demand, Donny Edwards along with his band Fever are back in The American Dream City! Donny Edwards is a multi-award winning Elvis tribute artist, the most sought after in the world. He is a versatile performer with the ability to re-enact each era of Elvis' life and career. Edwards will take fans through every era of Elvis' great career, from the early days of the 1950s to the famous black leather 1968 Comeback Special. Donny Edwards also recreates the legendary Las Vegas years of the 1970s. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are selling fast, so head over to the venue's website to see what seats are still available. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for kids 12 and under.

Art Uncorked! An Evening of Wine and Painting at Arlington Museum of Art

The Arlington Museum of Art is opening up the Education Center for an after hours painting party. Whether you come solo or bring a few friends, you're invited to come out to the museum for an evening of creative, relaxing fun. Arlington Museum of Art will supply all of the necessary painting materials. This event runs from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at the AMA Education Center and is for adults ages 21 and older. Green Mountain Energy 2015 Summer Concert Season at Levitt Pavilion

After last weekend's Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival, it's time for more free summer concerts at the Levitt Pavilion! This year's Green Mountain Energy 2015 Summer Concert Season continues Thursday, May 28 with The Suffers performing at the Levitt, intertwining elements of classic American soul with rock 'n' roll. On Friday, May 29, Spoonfed Tribe from Fort Worth takes the stage followed by The Dirty River Boys on Saturday and The Quebe Sisters Band on Sunday. All concerts start at 8 p.m. The Levitt Pavilion's Summer Concert Series continues every Thursday through Sunday until July 12.

Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne: Paris 1880-1910

Art lovers can check out a new exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown this weekend! The exhibit contains almost 200 pieces from avant-garde Post-Impressionist artists working in a new French "modern" style. Built around the work of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, painter of scenes and artists from the famed Paris theatre the Moulin Rouge, this expansive exhibit will explore the anti-establishment movement among artists seeking alternative means to bring their art to a broad public and break out of the traditional molds. The exhibit is open to the public until Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Arlington Parks and Recreation Presents Food Truck Friday Nights

Good news for Arlington area food truck lovers! Food Truck Friday Nights presented by Arlington Parks and Recreation Department continues the outdoor fun at River Legacy Park on Friday, May 29, 2015. The event runs from 5-10 p.m. Food truck lineups will be announced Friday morning before each event on the Arlington Parks and Recreation Facebook page. As always, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited. Come on out with family and friends and enjoy music and great food from our area food trucks. Food Truck Friday Nights will continue June 5 and June 12. For more information, call 817-459-5474.
