Voters who head to the polls on Saturday, May 9, for the City of Arlington 's municipal elections will find a special election ballot question over red light cameras in Arlington.
A proposed city charter amendment that would remove the red light cameras in Arlington is on the ballot.
Currently, 23 cameras are activated at 19 intersections throughout the city. Intersections with cameras are marked with "Photo Enforced "warning signs. The red light cameras went live in Arlington in 2007.
