The latest Culture Buzz episode on MyArlingtonTV takes a journey to the Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown for Arlington ISD Youth Art Month.
Each spring, the Arlington Museum of Art collaborates with AISD to give students the opportunity to display their artwork.
Linh Nguyen, the interim Fine Arts Director for Arlington ISD schools, oversees the program and continues to see the positive impact this event has on both students and parents in The American Dream City.
"It's a time where we celebrate, advocate and motivate for our students to participate in the arts," Nguyen said. "The art show itself is a way for kids to be expressive, to be creative and to be given the opportunity to be human."
AISD Youth Art Month is held in conjunction with National Youth Month and Youth Art Month work on display in Austin at the Capitol Building. The exhibition will run for six weeks.
