Dreams came true Thursday when representatives from Texas Christian University surprised seven Sam Houston High School seniors with full-ride scholarships to TCU.

Each student received a full scholarship worth $250,000 through the TCU Community Scholars program. The scholarship covers four years of undergraduate studies.

The seven seniors received a combined $1.75 million in scholarship money, setting a new school record for the number of recipients in one year at Sam Houston. Six students received the scholarship in 2014.
