A group of high school and college athletes in Arlington will get the chance to realize their dream of becoming professional baseball players after being selected by various teams in this year's Major League Baseball Draft.

Seguin High School graduate Antonio Santillan was selected 49th overall in the 2nd round by the Cincinnati Reds.

The right-handed pitcher is an outstanding athlete with a fastball sitting around 93-95 MPH.

Arlington High School graduate and Colts center fielder Jaylen Ferguson was selected in the 9th round by the Baltimore Orioles.

Scouting reports praise Ferguson's athletic ability and strong throwing arm.

The final day of the 2015 MLB Draft also saw a pair of UT Arlington seniors selected.

First baseman Levi Scott was picked in the 28th round by the Toronto Blue Jays, while right-handed pitcher Colin Tornberg went in the 32nd round to the Seattle Mariners.

The picks mark the seventh straight season that the Mavericks have had a player selected, while also having a player taken in 17 of the last 18 drafts.

The draft marked the 15th time in UTA baseball history that multiple players have been selected.
