1. Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington
The Texas Rangers host the defending World Series champs at Globe Life Park in Arlington this weekend for the first series of the 2018 season! The Rangers will host the Houston Astros at 2:35 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 29 (Opening Day), Friday night at 7:05 p.m. CT, Saturday at 3:05 p.m. CT and Sunday at 2:05 p.m. CT. Fans will enjoy a fireworks show after the game on Friday and the first 7,000 fans 13 & under will receive a Denny's Rangers Players Calendar. On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans will receive a TXU Energy Adrian Beltre Home Run Counter Bobblehead.
2. Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, continues its 57th season in The American Dream City. The park will open this weekend for guests to enjoy their favorite coasters and attractions, while preparations continue for the late spring debut of the ultimate Super-Villain thrill ride HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity. The park's operating hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. both Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Easter Sunday. 3. Meet the Easter Bunny at The Parks at Arlington Mall
From now until March 31, Arlington families can bring the Easter Bunny and the kids together for the perfect photo opportunity at the lower level near Dick's Sporting Goods. Please remember to reserve your place before you go to avoid waiting in line.

- Thursday (March 29): 10:00 AM-8:00 PM
- Friday & Saturday (March 30 & 31): 10:00 AM-9:00 PM
4. RED at Theatre Arlington
Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Play, RED by John Logan, opens this weekend at Theatre Arlington in Downtown. The show opens this Friday, March 30, 2018 and runs through April 15 (no performance Easter Sunday).RED features some adult language and is appropriate for ages 16 and up.

- Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
5. Easter Brunch at Ventana Grille
Enjoy Easter Brunch with Arlington Parks and Recreation at Ventana Grille! There are three time slots available for Easter Sunday (April 1, 2018): 10:30 AM - 12 PM, 12-1:30 PM, 1:30-3 PM. Kids ages 2 & under eat for free. Reservations are required by Friday, March 30 at 5 PM. For reservations, please call 817-584-5047. 6. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club
Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Rocky Lott performs at 9 p.m. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out Devin Leigh. His solo work is described as a mixture of rockabilly, country, blues, and southern rock, infused with fiery guitar. That show also starts at 9 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.
7. Egg-Cellent Easter Party at Hugh Smith Recreation Center
Make plans to hop over to Hugh Smith Recreation Center on Saturday, March 31 for the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's Egg-Cellent Easter Party. This children's event, set from 10:30 a.m. to noon, will feature games, activities, a small egg hunt and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Parents should stay and bring a camera to capture some sweet memories. The cost for this event is $6 and registration is required. The Hugh Smith Recreation Center is located at 1815 New York Avenue.
8. Live Music at J.R. Bentley's
7th Row, 2nd Seat will perform this Saturday, March 30, 2018 from 8-11 p.m. at J.R. Bentley's. The DFW area band will play classic rock covers by Van Halen, Poison, ZZ Top, Ted Nugent, John Couger Melencamp, Aerosmith, The Lones, Billy Joel, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rolling Stones, Black Crowes, The Georgia Satellites, and many others. Situated in a historic home, J.R. Bentley's has the feel of an authentic English pub and features several local and area bands throughout the year. J.R. Bentley's is located at 406 W Abram St, Arlington, TX 76010. You can find a calendar of events at www.jrbentleys.com. The venue is closed for Easter Sunday.
9. UTA Clarinet Day 2018
The UTA Clarinet Studio is proud to announce its 2nd annual Clarinet Day on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the UT Arlington Fine Arts Building, located at 700 Greek Row Dr, Arlington, TX 76013.
Come enjoy a full day of clarinet events, including:
- Featured Guest Artist Danny Goldman of the Dallas Opera and Trio Kavannah will be giving a masterclass and solo recital
- Madera Wind Quintet will be performing Maslakna's 3rd Wind Quintet and premiering a new work by Jack Stamp
- Jen Guzman will present a lecture entitled "Clarinetist as Entrepeneur: How to Create a Satisfying and Financially Stable Portfolio Career in Music"
- Tony Barette will give a class entitled "Minor Clarinet Repair: Handle it Yourself!"
- The UTA Clarinet Studio will give a chamber recital featuring clarinet quartets, quintets, and duets
- The 2nd Annual MASS CLARINET CHOIR in which all Clarinet Day attendees are invited to play
- Multiple vendors including TB Winds, D'addario WoodWinds, Buffet Crampon and more.
10. Shows at UTA Planetarium
UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors. This includes Spacepark 360: Infinity, a planetarium show designed to recreate the experience of amusement park thrill rides, roller coasters, pendulums, inverters and more.
