HOPE Tutoring recently finished another successful year with the Night of HOPE Annual Celebration at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington.
Dinner and entertainment was provided by “The Volunteer Voices,” a musical group from Arlington Bowie High School. The students received an enthusiastic send-off for their upcoming competition in Nashville, Tennessee.
Board President George Morey and Director of Education Ann Terhune also shared HOPE Tutoring’s accomplishments for the year, plus the organization’s vision for the future.
The site managers for HOPE are responsible for keeping the sites open and track the progress of each student. Stories about the student’s progress were shared as well as narratives on how tutors and volunteers changed student’s lives for the better.
The keynote speaker Jay Jones shared a personal testimony of the joy and satisfaction of tutoring students at HOPE.
