City of Arlington Economic Development Manager Bruce Payne has been named as one of the 500 most powerful business leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area by D Magazine.
D Magazine describes the list and criteria for The Dallas 500 on its website:
"The editors of D CEO present the most powerful top executives in more than 60 business categories. The Dallas 500 is the region's and highly selective biographical database of the people who really run Dallas-Fort Worth business, based on extensive contacts in North Texas business circles, hundreds of interviews, and months of research."
Before taking the position of Economic Development Manager for the City of Arlington, Payne worked in city planning, where he helped create Arlington's One-Start Development Center. The One-Start Development Center is a one-stop shop for all property-related services and is located on the second floor of City Hall.
