Teddy Bear Carnival is back this spring! Stuffed animals and their favorite children are invited to the Southwest Branch Library on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to noon for a morning of teddy bear-themed activities.

This outdoor event will meet on the grassy lawn outside the branch, so dress for the weather! Adventurous stuffed animals can get ready with a Teddy Bear Sleepover, beginning Friday, April 13 at 4 p.m. at the Southwest Branch. Children can enjoy a bear-themed storytime, then the lucky stuffed animals get to spend the night at the Library. No registration is required for either free event.

Teddy Bear Carnival features a festive array of events for preschool-aged children and their families to enjoy. Children will have fun while they learn with early literacy activities like counting, sorting by colors, and pretending. Parents can recreate the games from Teddy Bear Carnival at home to keep supporting their child's development!

Other fun events that morning will include storytimes, arts and crafts, and performances. This year's Carnival also features juggler David Slick.

Want to extend the fun? Children and their stuffed animals are also invited to a Teddy Bear Sleepover, beginning Friday, April 13 at 4 p.m. at the Southwest Branch. People can't spend the night at the Library, but every so often, teddy bears are welcome! Families will enjoy a storytime, a craft, and then tuck their stuffed animals into bed for a night of sweet dreams - or maybe adventures. Don't forget to pick them up at Teddy Bear Carnival the next morning!
