TxDOT’s Cooper Street Raised Median Project Nearing Completion

The Cooper Street raised median project is nearing completion, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials.

Crews are currently working during the overnight hours to pave the final stretch of Cooper Street between Arkansas Lane and Mitchell Street near the University of Texas at Arlington. Lane striping will be one of the final steps for the project.

''We''re complete with the sidewalks and the driveways and the retaining walls and the asphalt overlay on the southern section from Arkansas Lane to Interstate 20,'' said Val Lopez, TxDOT''s Fort Worth District Public Information Officer.''The project will be substantially complete, weather permitting, by the end of August.''
