Interested in catching a ride on a self-driving shuttle? Come try out Milo and provide the City of Arlington with feedback about your experience.
The City of Arlington is now booking free rides between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15 to provide the public an opportunity to check out the Milo autonomous shuttle service.
Arlington is leasing two of these electric shuttle vehicles as part of a one-year pilot program to explore autonomous transportation technology in a real-world setting.
Those who are interested must reserve their ride online at www.arlingtontx.gov/milo.
Because seating is limited, rides are only guaranteed to those individuals who receive confirmation by email from the City. Rides can be booked for between 1 and 8 passengers per time slot. Riders will be able to participate in the survey about their experience.
City staff schedules public demo rides approximately once a month, based on weather conditions.
The Milo shuttles operate approximately one hour before and one hour after major events at AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park in Arlington's Entertainment District. The shuttles are programmed to run along select off-street trails in Richard Greene Linear Park and Robert Cluck Linear Park between the two venues and will pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops.
