Interlochen Holiday Lights - Open until Christmas Day

Interlochen, one of the largest holiday light displays in north Texas celebrates its 41st year in The American Dream City. The Arlington Police Department can help you navigate safely through this wonderland of lights. Beginning Friday, Dec. 16, through Dec. 25, 2016, the Arlington Police Department will setup traffic control posts from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. to help facilitate safe travel for tourists and neighbors. Every year, more than 200 homeowners in this northwest Arlington community near Interstate 30 celebrate the season by adorning their homes and property with festive lights and holiday-themed displays. Admission is free.

6th Annual Texas Christkindl Market - Open until Fri. Dec. 23

Inspired by the traditional Christmas market of Arlington's sister city Bad Königshofen, Germany, the 6thAnnual Texas Christkindl Market re-opened for business this year on Black Friday at Globe Life Park and continues through Dec. 23, 2016. Regular shopping hours will resume as follows: Monday - Friday, Noon to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 7 p.m.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, transforms into the epitome of a holiday extravaganza. On select dates from November 19 through January 2, 2017, favorite attractions such as SantaLand, the Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular, Frosty Snowhill and more await guests during this magical time of year. For over 30 years, Holiday in the Park has spread joy to families from all over the state and surrounding areas. New this year to Holiday in the Park- Deep in the Heart of Christmas! Guests can enjoy the Boomtown section of the park that has undergone a complete makeover and has been transformed into a Texas-sized winter wonderland.

Pablo Picasso: Ceramics Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

The Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown proudly announces its winter blockbuster exhibit, Pablo Picasso: Ceramics, featuring more than 40 ceramics by renowned artist Pablo Picasso. The exhibit will be on display from November 12, 2016 through February 12, 2017. An opening reception for exhibit sponsors, museum members, and special guests will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. For more information, visit ArlingtonMuseum.org. Adventure to Santa at The Parks at Arlington - Open until Christmas Eve

Adventure to Santa, a storytelling experience designed by Dreamworks Animation, returns to The American Dream City this holiday season at The Parks at Arlington! The all-new attraction lets you and your family join Po and Friends from Kung Fu Panda for interactive games and an immersive, cinematic journey that transports guests to the North Pole for your private meeting with Santa. This event will be open to the public until Christmas Eve. This is a popular attraction and booking online is strongly recommended to secure your preferred date and time. Lions vs. Cowboys at AT&T Stadium

Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot and the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys (12-2) look to lock up the division after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-20 for a nice bounce back win. The Detroit Lions (9-5) of the NFC North arrive at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to take on the Cowboys for Monday Night Football on December 26, 2016. This should be an exciting prime-time match-up and kickoff gets underway at 7:30 p.m. CT. If you can't make it to the stadium, the game will be nationally televised on ESPN. The Cowboys final regular season game is next week on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at noon.
