What began as a small race with 46 participants has evolved into one of the most popular, all-female 5K's in the area. More than 2,500 participants are expected to run, walk and stroll in the 11th annual Jiggle Butt Run on Saturday, January 7, 2017. The event benefits SafeHaven of Tarrant County. The agency provides care and shelter to victims of domestic abuse and seeks to return families to a safe, self-sufficient environment by providing support services such as education, counseling, and a transitional living program. The Jiggle Butt Run and Walk has raised over $125,000 for the organization in just a few years. Come early, between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. for registration and group warm-up exercises inside UTA's E.H. Hereford Center at 300 W First St. before the race starts at 9 a.m. in front of College Park on Spaniolo Dr.
Howard and David continue to prove that the trail they've ridden to fame has been as unique as their music itself - music that is now celebrating 40 years of success. The road that started on the pop music charts in the '70's, took a winding turn into country music in the '80's, paving the way for duos to come, such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, and previously - The Judds. The Bellamy Brothers take the stage at Arlington Music Hall in Downtown this Friday, January 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Residents and visitors can purchase tickets for this show on the Arlington Music Hall website or call the box office at 817-226-4400.
