The City of Arlington has partnered with one of the nation's largest commercial real estate developers and investors to recruit regional, national or international corporate headquarters to the entertainment district.
Trammell Crow Company has entered into an agreement with the City of Arlington to serve as the developer of an 18+ acre site located on I-30 and N. Collins Street. The site has the ability to accommodate up to 1 million square feet of premier, Class A office space.
"We are excited to be working with the City of Arlington to develop this premier gateway site into the City of Arlington overlooking the Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium," said Denton Walker, Senior Managing Director with Trammell Crow Company's Dallas-Fort Worth Business Unit. "We believe this is an incredible build-to-suit opportunity for a new corporate headquarters in one of the best located cities in North Texas that is focused on attracting and expanding its corporate headquarter base."
The site could accommodate multiple low or mid-rise office buildings, ample parking and retail amenities.
"The agreement with Trammell Crow Company is just another example of the momentum the Arlington economy is experiencing right now," said Mayor Jeff Williams. "When you add this agreement to GM's recent $1.4 billion investment to the Arlington Assembly Plant and Fortune 500 company D.R. Horton's corporate relocation to the City, they all point to a bright future for our residents."
Trammell Crow Company, founded in Dallas in 1948, is one of the nation's oldest and most prolific developers of, and investors in, commercial real estate.
In addition to this announcement, since April 2015, Arlington has announced that:
- General Motors will invest $1.4 billion for an expansion at the Arlington Assembly Plant, the largest single plant investment in the United States this year. General Motors is one of the biggest employers in Arlington and North Texas and is a key part of the City's economic foundation. In making the announcement, General Motors managers and labor leaders noted this investment sets up GM to be in Arlington for generations to come and that every job created at the plant equates to 9 new jobs created in the economy.
- D.R. Horton plans to invest more than $20 million to build an approximately 150,000 square-foot campus and parking facility on six acres located along the I-30 Frontage Road just east of N. Collins Street. The relocation will provide D.R. Horton a company-owned headquarters conveniently located in the heart of North Texas with great access to DFW International Airport.
