#20 Wisconsin takes on #3 Alabama in the 2015 AdvoCare Classic at AT&T Stadium in The American Dream City this weekend! The game kicks off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 and will be nationally televised on ABC for those who can't make it to the game in Arlington. The Advocare Classic is an annual college football game played on the opening weekend of the college football season at AT&T Stadium. The game was originally known as the Cowboys Classic from 2009 to 2014. Last season's match up featured Florida State of the ACC and Oklahoma State of the Big 12. The Seminoles pulled out the 37-31 victory late in the 4th quarter over the Cowboys. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com. Should be another exciting game this year!
Free music returns this fall to Downtown Arlington with Green Mountain Energy's 2015 Fall Concert Series Sept. 4 through Oct. 11 at Levitt Pavilion Arlington! Catch an eclectic line-up featuring 16 concerts that range from Austin songwriting artistry to opera and Celtic rock to jazz plus an annual benefit concert featuring Kenny Loggins on Oct. 3. Brave Combo kicks off this year's concert series on Friday, September 4, 2015. On Saturday, it's Bob Schneider and then on Sunday, John Fullbright takes the stage. All concerts begin at 8 p.m. Feel free to bring your blankets, lawn chairs and water coolers to the Levitt. Last year an estimated 127,000 people attended concerts from eight countries, 45 states and 67 cities!
The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's Food Truck Fridays will return to the City of Arlington beginning September 4, 2015 from 11 am to 2 pm! Opening day's line-up at Founder's Plaza will include Whats Cook-N Chef, Rockin Ricks, Say Kimichi, Samsons Dogs, Toadally Ice, Cup Cakin and Steel City Pops. Food truck line-ups will be announced the Thursday before each event. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited. Beginning Saturday, September 5, 2015, the Arlington Museum of Art will allow fans in The American Dream City to relive the evolution of the Mississippi Delta blues into rock and roll and country music, and the role advertising and media played in the movement. The "Rock and Roll Wall of Fame" will simultaneously present three exhibits that focus on a socially, culturally, and politically influential publications still in print today, a music hub that helped reshape the canvas of rock and roll in the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, and the talented musicians that Austin, Texas has encouraged and produced over the years. EXCEL Campus Activities presents its long-running feature film series in the University Center Rosebud Theatre this Friday, September 4, 2015! This week's movie is the biggest summer blockbuster of 2015, "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Located off the coast of Costa Rica, the Jurassic World luxury resort provides a habitat for an array of genetically engineered dinosaurs, including the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex. When the massive creature escapes, it sets off a chain reaction that causes the other dinos to run amok. $1.00 admission ($1.50 with credit card). The Medical Center Arlington Rangers Race will be held on Labor Day (September 7, 2015) at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Join other runners for a scenic jog through The American Dream City's entertainment central with Globe Life Park at the center, AT&T Stadium nearby, and Six Flags Over Texas in the background. Bibs and t-shirts will be available for pick up today, September 3 and tomorrow, September 4 at the Majestic Grand Slam Gift Shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located on the south side of Globe Life Park between the entrance to Center Field and the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame. Race Day packet pick-up will take place in the Hall of Fame from 6 – 7:30 a.m. Please bring a photo ID along with you to pick up your packet. If you plan to pick up your packet on race day, please arrive early. The 1k is slated to start at 7:30 a.m. and the 5k at 8:00 a.m.

Ringside: Memories of World Class Championship Wrestling showcases more than 30 photos taken by Cirrus Bonneau, who spent Monday nights in 1982 and 1983 at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth documenting the interplay between the costumed stars and their captivated audiences.
