The Season 6 Finals of FACEIT's Esports Championship Series (ECS) has been announced as the inaugural event to be hosted at Esports Stadium Arlington, the largest esports arena in North America.
The four-day Esports Championship Series Season 6 Finals, scheduled from Nov. 22-25, will see the world's top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) teams converge in The American Dream City to compete for the title of ECS Champions.
Esports Stadium Arlington, located in the city's Entertainment District, is a $10 million, 100,000-square-foot venue built to serve as the primary hub of esports in the United States. The state-of-the-art competitive video gaming facility, currently under construction inside the Arlington Convention Center, will seat more than 2,500 spectators, and will feature amenities ranging from a cutting-edge production studio and custom LED video walls, to training rooms, player lounges, and hair and makeup studios.
"We're gearing up to make Season 6 the best installment of ECS yet, so we needed to lock down an equally big venue to properly contain all of that action and excitement - bringing ECS to Esports Stadium Arlington was an absolute no-brainer," said Michele Attisani, CBO and co-founder of FACEIT. "Not only is it the largest esports venue in the United States, but also the most innovative. No other arena can offer the dynamic combination of fan-facing, team-facing, and production-facing resources as Esports Stadium Arlington, and we can't wait to be the first event putting them into action."
ECS, founded by FACEIT and supported by YouTube, will begin its livestreamed regular season online from Oct. 3 through Nov. 7, leading up to the Finals.
ECS Season 6 is set to be the most fan-focused iteration yet. This condensed regular season schedule is designed to both increase the intensity of the action by packing the same number of games into a smaller window and make it easier to follow by streamlining the competition calendar. The season will then culminate in an elongated Finals, boasting an enhanced broadcast platform offering fans the most in-depth and immersive ECS viewing experience to date. The Finals will be livestreamed around the world exclusively on FACEIT's official YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/faceit.
