Federal income tax season is January 23 to April 18. As Arlington residents get their documents in order and prepare to file, the Library is ready to help. All Arlington Public Library branches offer a variety of tax resources. The Library does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice, but staff is glad to help patrons find information.
AARP Tax-Aide is returning to the Arlington Public Library to answer tax questions and prepare tax returns. This program is free and confidential. No registration is required, but patrons are seen on a first come, first served basis. Taxpayers are advised to arrive early in order to be seen. AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will be at Library locations from February 1 to April 18. Click here to see all upcoming times and locations.
For patrons who want to prepare their own taxes, the Library also provides tax forms. Due to changes by the Tax Forms Outlet Program, only a limited number of forms will be available. Each location will have reproducible forms available to copy on the copy machines. Patrons can also use the Library's computers for tax preparation. Find forms or file your taxes online. Library cardholders can access the computers for free.
