Are you a high school senior planning to attend the University of Texas at Arlington or Tarrant County College?
The Arlington Chamber Foundation will be awarding $17,500 in scholarships to students graduating from Arlington ISD this year.
Scholarships of $2,500 are being offered to one graduating senior from each AISD high school and a final seventh scholarship will be awarded to a senior selected from among all the AISD high schools.
To apply for these scholarships, applicants must be attending the University of Texas at Arlington or Tarrant County College by the 2017-2018 academic year. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 17, 2017.
The application includes a typed 400 to 500 word essay, one academic and one personal recommendation letter and an official high school transcript. A PDF version of the application is available here.
All applications will be evaluated by Arlington Chamber of Commerce Champion Education Committee members and community business leaders. The top applicants will be interviewed by an Arlington Chamber Foundation Board committee for the final decision.
