Commuters riding the Metro ArlingtonXpress, or MAX, between College Park Center on the campus of UT Arlington and the Trinity Railway Express' CentrePort/DFW Airport Station will soon have another travel option.
Beginning Monday, February 6, MAX buses will stop at Randol Mill Road and Six Flags Drive, near Six Flags Over Texas and the Entertainment District, as well as area offices and businesses. This stop will replace the stop on Collins Street and Andrews Street. Signs identifying the new stops are expected to go up this week. The relocated stop will also result in changes to the MAX schedule and route.

Passengers boarding MAX at the Entertainment District stop can ride to UT Arlington or the Trinity Railway Express CentrePort/DFW Airport Station where they can take a TRE train to Dallas or Fort Worth or the DFW Remote South Bus to DFW International Airport.
Riders then can also connect to other destinations by using a T bus in Fort Worth or a DART bus or train in Dallas. And they can do all of this for just $5 per day!
Thanks to GoPass, a mobile ticketing application, MAX riders are able to buy and use passes instantly on a web-enabled smartphone-anywhere, anytime. Tickets can be purchased for MAX, TRE, DART, the FWTA and DCTA. Visit www.GoPass.biz to download the free app.
MAX operates Monday through Friday from about 5:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. with pick-ups and drop-offs scheduled at multiple times throughout the day. Service at the new stop and schedule changes will be implemented on Monday, February 6, 2017.
The service aligns with the Arlington City Council Priority to Enhance Regional Mobility.
