The City of Arlington was honored to receive a state best 13 awards at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Georgetown on June 7, 2018.
This year follows up a strong campaign in 2017, where the Office of Communications took home nine awards at the TAMIO conference in Lakeway.
The awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories including website, social media, video production and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government.
The City's Rangers Home Plate Update quarterly publication, the Arlington Dream Team Digital Ambassadors social media campaign, the City's Made in Arlington t-shirt design, the City's Office of Communication Strategic Plan Update, a video tribute to the late George Coke, Jr., and the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's 10-year Anniversary Report all won first place awards at this year's ceremony.
