The NFL season gets underway this Sunday, September 11 with an NFC East showdown between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys at ATT Stadium in Arlington. Rookie quarterback Dak Prescott enters the regular season after an impressive preseason performance and will receive plenty of help from 1st round draft pick Ezekiel Elliot, the Cowboys news starting running back. Arlington Fire Department's Truck 1 will be attending the game as part of First Responder Appreciation at ATT Stadium. Kickoff is at 3:25 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised on FOX.
The Peterson Brothers take the stage at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington at 8 p.m. Friday, September 9 and possess a modern blend of blues, soul and funk. Aquile's singer/songwriter roots are firmly set in the small town of Douglas, Wyo., where the pop/soul artist honed his musical talents before heading west to make it big on Season 3 of NBC's The Voice. Aquile takes the stage at 8 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 10. Soul Track Mind has made a name for themselves by blending ' 60s and ' 70s era soul and RB with flares of jazz, blues, funk and dance rhythms and a sound deeply rooted in retro convictions that still manages to feel fresh and modern. Join Arlington Parks and Recreation for a night out at Richard Simpson Park on Lake Arlington, TX this Saturday, September 10 from 5:30-8:30 PM! This event is BYOB (no glass). The Parks Department will provide food, live music by Zuriel Merek and fun backyard games! The event will also include kayaking and a boat ride on Lake Arlington, TX. Dress hamburgers at a gourmet toppings station and build your own s'mores for dessert. Feel free to bring your own blankets and chairs as seating is limited. $10 preregistration or $15 at the event. The Arlington Museum of Art, Arlington Cultural Tourism Council, and Wheeler Bro's Studios is proud to present the 14th instillation of the renowned group exhibition known as Ulterior Motifs. Conceived in 1999 by Jeffrey and Bryan Wheeler as a celebratory exhibition of Lubbock art and music, this semi-regular show has gradually evolved into a wider presentation of prominent contemporary artists who live in or maintain strong ties to Texas. This show is mainly about two cool things: fun classes and plentiful shopping. It will feature nearly 100 top classes from the coolest presenters in the nation. Attendees will also enjoy 200 exhibiting businesses providing beautiful shopping options in the worlds of DIY, crafts, wedding, baby, cooking, photography, party planning, nails, scrapbooking, holiday decor, clothing, jewelry and all sorts of other things! Color Fun Fest 5K is the nation's only 5K Color event offering a daytime and nighttime option. The day run is a 5 Kilometer course during the day, with 4 color stations along the run with thousands of pounds of color to shower runners. The night Run is a 5 Kilometer course (3.1 miles) in the evening, with 4 color stations with thousands of pounds of color lit up by blacklights. The City and the Arlington Museum of Art challenge residents to visit the 20 stars positioned throughout Arlington and check out each artist's interpretation of what makes Arlington the American Dream City!

- In order to win the package of prizes you must take YOUR picture in front of all 20 stars.
