Judith Rodriguez is living her dream right here in Arlington as a lyric soprano with Timeless Concerts and a Spanish music specialist performing all across the DFW Metroplex.

Rodriguez has appeared in concerts and shows on many stages throughout Europe, Mexico and Texas.

The lyric soprano discovered her passion for Zarzuela, a Spanish lyric-dramatic genre that alternates between spoken word and singing, when she sang the lead role in “La Dolorosa” as a student at TCU.

She then traveled to Spain to study Zarzuela. After performing there for many years, Rodriguez put together a program of all Spanish music and debuted it in 2015 at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas. In April 2017, she brought that same program to the St. Alban’s Parish concert series in Arlington.

“You will never know what kind of feedback you are going to get unless you put it out there and you try,” Rodriguez said. “That’s where I feel like I’m living my dream here in Arlington. You get an idea. You present it to the community and it’s either a yea or a nay. Luckily for me, it’s been a yea.”

Rodriguez holds a BME from Texas Christian University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Vocal Studies from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, and a License in Opera and Lyric Theater form the Superior School of Voice of Madrid.

Residents and visitors can find Judith Rodriguez at the Arlington Museum of Art, where she continues to perform with Timeless Concerts in Arlington. You can find a complete concert schedule and ticket information at www.timelessconcerts.com.
