The Dallas Cowboys return to action at AT&T Stadium in Arlington"s Entertainment District for the NFL preseason against the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff for the game is at 6 p.m. CT. The Cowboys will then take on the Oakland Raiders in the final home preseason game at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 26. The team kicks off the 2017 season at AT&T Stadium against the New York Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 10.
Einstein: A Stage Portrait at Theatre Arlington
This one-man play by Willard Simms presents the private, personal, and deeply human side of Albert Einstein, the reluctant celebrity who changed forever the way we look at the universe. Starring Dennis Maher, the show runs through this Sunday, August 20 at Theatre Arlington in Downtown. Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and students (with valid ID) and $18.50 for groups of 10 or more people. Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors this summer. The Planetarium"s lineup is featured in an episode of “Culture Buzz” on MyArlingtonTV. This includes Phantom of the Universe, a planetarium show that unveils scientists" efforts to explore Dark Matter. The show focuses on the Large Hadron Collider, the gigantic underground particle detector being used to explore the inner workings of the matter. Dark Matter is invisible and we only know of its existence due to its gravitational effect. It is believed that 85 percent of the matter in the universe is Dark Matter.
