Planning a day at Lake Arlington? 2018 Boat Permits are in and ready for pick up.
As a reminder, no person shall place, operate, or keep any boat or other craft on Lake Arlington without first having obtained a permit. This includes all rowboats, canoes, kayaks, motorboats, sailboats, barges, personal watercrafts, and sailboards. All residents who live on the lake are also held to these regulations.
Permits can be obtained at the Richard Simpson Lake Office, 6300 W. Arkansas lane, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, excluding Tuesdays, and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends. The Lake Office is closed on Tuesdays through April 7, 2018.
For the first time since 2003, the City has increased fees on Boat Permits for Lake Arlington activities. The fee adjustment, presented by city staff at the December Park Board meeting, will support increased staffing at Lake Arlington. Pavilions at Richard Simpson Park and Bowman Spring Park, along with the Lake Room rentals, will also see a small fee increase.
For specific questions or to purchase permits over the phone, call the Lake Office at 817-451-6860 or email Angie Dennehy, Rental and Lakes Services Coordinator, at [email protected].
