Make A Splash is a national, child-focused water safety initiative of the USA Swimming Foundation. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, with the help of Mid-Cities Arlington Swim Team, is spreading the word about water safety by offering a morning of free water safety lessons and activities.
Grab your swimsuit, towel, and bike and come out to Allen Bolden Pool, located at 2800 S. Center St. inside Vandergriff Park on Saturday, June 23 at 9 a.m. There will be demos with American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors, fun activities, a bounce house, safety related vendors, and a hot dog lunch (while supplies last)!
This year, Arlington Aquatics is continuing the change in the event structure to ensure another smooth year as well as fairness in receiving scholarships. Please note, an early arrival time does NOT affect your chance of receiving a scholarship.

Upon arrival, each family will receive one vendor/safety station card that will be signed off at each station. After visiting all stations and vendors, families who turn in their vendor card will receive one complimentary pass valid at any City pool during the 2018 swim season (one per family). Along with a complimentary pass, families will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a FREE session of swimming lessons ($5 application fee, one per family). The raffle will be done at the end of the event, around 11:15 a.m. Must be present to win.
