Latest ‘Invest in Our Economy’ Newsletter Highlights $82 Million Summit Racing Announcement
Summit Racing Equipment announced last month that it will open a new $82 million warehouse facility, retail super store and customer support center in Arlington.
The 700,000-square-foot facility, which would be Summit Racing Equipment's fourth United States location, is expected to open in early 2017 on what is currently vacant land at the southwest corner of Interstate 20 and SH 360. Summit Racing expects to employ an estimated 330 workers by 2021, with average salaries ranging from $37,994 to $56,910.
In other business news, Skyline Sector 5 celebrated its 15th anniversary with an open house. The Arlington-based 'experiential marketing firm' exists to help vendors market themselves in trade shows and other rental spaces by creating immersive environments.
The American Dream City drew nearly 14 million visitors in 2015, according to a recent study commissioned by the Arlington Convention Visitors Bureau. Those visitors spent an estimated $1.4 billion in Arlington last year, with more than half the visitors staying overnight, the Longwoods International report shows.
