Kate Tran, senior for Martin High School's girls golf team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2016.
Kate has shown great leadership as a senior for the Martin girls golf team and has excelled both on the course and in the classroom.
Her strong academic and athletic performance has already resulted in scholarship offers from colleges.
Kate's goal is to major in Computer Science, finish her college degree and then join the best of the best in the LPGA Tour.
The Martin High School girls golf team practices at both Arlington Parks and Recreation's Lake Arlington Golf Course and Tierra Verde Golf Club.
Kate Tran is the City's first Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2016-17 school year and this segment will continue through May 2017.
