Arlington’s Popular Leaf Recycling Program Returns Nov. 21, 2018
Back by popular demand, and in an effort to improve our community and the environment, Arlington's leaf recycling program returns November 21, 2018, and runs through February 21, 2019.
The City of Arlington encourages residents to be a part of this year's free leaf recycling program. Get your friends, family and neighbors to join in. This united effort helps clear our neighborhoods of leaves and creates a second life for the collected material through mulching.
To participate, please bag your leaves and drop them off at one of these leaf recycling locations:
- Arlington Landfill - 800 Mosier Valley Road
- U.T.A. baseball parking lot on Mitchell Street east of Fielder Road - No contractors
- Bowman Springs Park - 7003 Poly Webb Road. - No contractors
- S.J. Stovall Park - 2800 W. Sublett Road - No contractors
Alternatively, Arlington residents may choose to compost their leaves and grass clippings by participating in one of the two free monthly backyard compost classes taught by Arlington Master Composters. Composting creates rich soil, helps with erosion and assists in reducing landfill waste.
During the dates listed above, contractors may bring leaves to the landfill only free of charge. For information about the landfill, call 817-354-2300. Leaves from contractors will not be accepted at the other sites.
Taking part in these voluntary programs and inspiring others to do so are a great way to help make Arlington the cleanest and greenest city in America!
