Giorgia Zarate Rodriguez, a junior on Sam Houston High School's girls wrestling team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2018.
Zarate Rodriguez, a two-time co-captain, finished second in the district during her sophomore year and finished top eight in the region. She also competed as a member of the Team Texas National Team.
"Giorgia is an awesome student-athlete," said Amy McNease, the Girls Wrestling Coach at Sam Houston High School. "She is an amazing young woman who has developed into a really great wrestler."
Zarate Rodriguez, whose favorite subject is english, plans to study sports medicine and continue her wrestling career in college.
