UTA Spotlight: Maverick Kitchen Teaches Students How to Make Vegetarian Chili

Greetings from The American Dream City! Be sure to tune into the newest installment of UTA Spotlight, a weekly news update featuring broadcasting students reporting on events, projects, announcements and other key news and happenings on the university campus and around Arlington.

This week's stories include:

• UTA's Maverick Kitchen: Veggie Eats workshop provides students with a hands-on experience by teaching them how to make delicious vegetarian chili. Learn what spices really add a fiery kick and which ones are best for more mild flavors.
• The Native American Students Association at the University of Texas at Arlington hosted the community for its Native American Heritage Month Celebration Nov. 29, 2018 at the University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom.
• After missing the first six games of the year, UTA forward Andres Ibarguen was cleared by the NCAA to return, giving the Mavs basketball team a much-needed big - literally - presence down low.
