The Arlington Police Department responded to a shooting investigation in the 1500 block of Darby Drive on Thursday, March 7, 2019 around 2:16 a.m. When patrol officers arrived, they located a man in his mid-20s with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators believe that the victim was recording music with four individuals at the residence when one suspect produced a handgun. A struggle ensued, and the victim was shot.  The suspects then left the scene with several items from the residence. The deceased will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been identified.
