The Arlington Police Department responded to an assault report in the 1000 block of Coke Drive on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 around 8:40 p.m. The victim, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner as 31-year old Mina Iskander, was transported to a local hospital due to injuries suffered in the incident where he was later pronounced deceased on December 10, 2018. Detectives launched an investigation into the details of the incident.

Officers were called to an assisted living facility for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A registered nurse at the location reported that a resident at the location had committed an assault against the victim. The investigation is ongoing to determine what exactly happened during the incident. Detectives have interviewed multiple witnesses and individuals who were at the home during the incident and are continuing their investigation. The department will await the manner and cause of death by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
