Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City. 

Pumpkin Nights 

Head over the Howell Farms for Pumpkin Nights. At Pumpkin Nights, you will venture along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. The celebration continues with entertainment and games in The Village, our festival area. Tickets are non-refundable. There is a $5 fee (per ticket) to change entry dates and times. These changes must be requested 48 hours before your originally scheduled time slot and tickets cannot be transferred to a sold-out night. There will be NO walk-up ticket sales. Fright Fest

It is time for Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas through Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023. Get ready for the best Halloween event of the season, featuring family-friendly thrills by day and the scariest frights by night presented by SNICKERS®.

Kids Boo Fest

Kids Boo Fest at Six Flags Over Texas, is where you will find tons of fun for your little monsters with treat-or-treating and family-friendly Halloween activities. Explore spooky fun for all ages and get your tickets from now until Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023.

Oktoberfest Food Festival

Head over to Six Flags Over Texas through Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023 to enjoy craft & seasonal brews complimented with a menu of German inspired cuisine at the park’s Oktoberfest Food Festival. Celebrate Oktoberfest with Six Flags by adding a Taste of Oktoberfest Sampler to your order. Six Flags Over Texas is offering over 30 beers and wines during our Oktoberfest event, including a popular list of “Oktoberfest” favorites.

American Son at Theatre Arlington

It’s the last weekend to watch American Son at Theatre Arlington. An estranged bi-racial couple must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son. Adult situations & language. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, and then 2 p.m. Sundays. Purchase tickets on-site or at Theatre Arlington’s website. The show ends Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library 

Stop by The Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library as we playfully discover the world around us!  Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Outdoor Storytime at River Legacy Nature Center

Join the Arlington Public Library at River Legacy Nature Center for stories and nature with a special outdoor storytime, weather permitting, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2023. The program will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather. Click here to register.

3D Printing Ages 9+: Halloween 

Learn about 3D printing and print out a Halloween trinket 3-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Materials will be provided. This class is limited to the first 8 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 9+.

Friday the 13th Fest

Come join EXCEL Campus Activities at the University of Texas at Arlington’s E.H. Hereford University Center for its Friday the 13th Fundraiser 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023. A night of fun Halloween activities for ALL ages followed by a free showing of Friday the 13th with free popcorn and drinks!

Star Party

Join the Arlington Public Library for a fun star gazing party in preparation for the solar eclipse on Saturday, October 14! The Star Party takes place 7:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at the East Library and Recreation Center. You will experience a fun star themed crafts and professional telescopes set up to view the night sky. They will provide solar viewing glasses and safe-viewing information for the whole family. All supplies are first come, first served.

Miller Lite Hot Country Nights: Triston Marez

Texas Live! hosts Miller Lite Hot Country Nights powered by TXU Energy. It’s Triston Marez taking the stage at the CBD Kratom Backyard with doors opening 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023. The Show is free to attend but you can upgrade your concert experience. Learn more by clicking here

Levitt Pavilion Fall Concert Series 

It’s the last weekend Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Fall Concert Series. Starting 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, with Cherry Mantis opening for Tank & The Bangas and the 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, The Red Iron Push is the opener for War Hippies featuring Scooter Brown and Donnie Reis. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. Parking is free. For directions to the Levitt, please see Directions & Parking.

Friday Night Skate

Friday Night Skate is back 7 p.m. every Friday at Elzie Odom Athletic Center. This event is for ages 13 and younger, and the cost is $15 per child. Pre-registration is required. You will have a blast skating with your friends, playing games, and participating in skating activities throughout the evening! Two slices of pizza and a 12oz drink can be added on for an additional $5. Click here to register.

Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy this weekend. You can experience The Oak Ridge Boys’ Front Porch Singin’ Tour 8:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, and again 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. Click on the event for ticket information. 

Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Arlington

The 5K takes place 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at Webb Community Park. Register at the event for 8 a.m. All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. The Alzheimer's Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s full of flowers – each carried by someone committed to raising funds and awareness to help end this disease. It’s time to add your flower to the fight. Funds raised go towards local support for those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Party in the Plaza

Come one, come all to the Arlington Public Library's Centennial Celebration, Party in the Plaza 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. It is an event full of fun and games for all ages. You won't want to miss out on this special centennial event. This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.

Monster Jam at AT&T Stadium

The most action-packed motorsports experience for families in the world today returns to Arlington for an adrenaline-charged event at AT&T Stadium 7 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023. Monster Jam features world-class athletes locked in intense competitions of speed and skill. Tickets are on sale now at SeatGeek.com.  

Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and our favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon french toast and served with maple syrup!
