Nearly a dozen public safety agencies came together Thursday evening and organized a special parade through Arlington to express their heartfelt support for the doctors, nurses, and staff at the city’s two main hospitals.
At 7:00 p.m., to coincide with region’s growing “Thank You Thursday” efforts, members of the Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Medical Response, Pantego Police Department, Pantego Fire Department, Dalworthington Gardens Police Department, Dalworthington Gardens Fire Department, and Grand Prairie Fire Department drove by the emergency room at Medical City Arlington, stopping to wave at the employees who lined the parking lot.
The caravan then made the trek up Cooper Street to Arlington Memorial Hospital, where they circled the campus, again waving at the employees who stepped outside to see the parade.
The event was organized by Pantego Fire Chief Randy Fulton, who wanted to ensure the medical professionals on the front lines felt the appreciation of the community they serve.
